Located on the shores of beautiful Lake Waccamaw, Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina has been a loving home for 50 years to over six thousand neglected and abused children from across the state and over 500 from the Sandhills Region.
Boys and Girls Homes provides these children with a home-like environment, a sound basic education, higher education opportunities, and spiritual development. Boys and Girls Homes is a non-sectarian 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit charity and has relied on the generosity of the citizens of North Carolina to provide the best care possible for at-risk children.
On November 30, 2011 BGHNC became nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation, and received a second accreditation in November, 2015. COA is an international non-profit accrediting organization which focuses on child/family service and behavioral health care. The Home’s school was approved by the N.C. Department of Public Instruction as a Charter School in 2013.
Thank you for supporting our mission to provide North Carolina’s children with bright futures.
